Dr. Morissa Ladinsky is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB)in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.  She attended Brown University, and Baylor College of Medicine.  She completed her pediatric residency at Texas Children’s Hospital and a Fellowship in General Academic Pediatrics at Johns Hopkins. Subsequently, she held faculty positions at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, the Ohio State University/Columbus Children’s Hospital (now Nationwide) and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  However, she is also a “fluid academic” and has had extensive front line experience in general pediatric practice working in Houston, Baltimore, and Cincinnati. More than ever, as a full time faculty member at UAB and Children’s of Alabama, she is committed to improving health outcomes for children with chronic conditions, LGBTQ identified youth and teaching the next generation of front line providers whileaddressing health care disparities and equal access for all.

When away from work, Dr. Ladinsky adores finding new hiking trails, eateries, and hidden gems in her new state of Alabama, working with local human rights advocacy groups, and overseeing her five “mostly grown” young adult children.
