2022 Pediatric Infectious Diseases

Clinical practice varies from clinician to clinician. Often times there can be several different management approaches that would be acceptable. The best way to delineate those options is to have a detailed presentation of a clinical case, followed by a robust discussion among the faculty and fellows present about what is an appropriate clinical approach and why. This is a time-tested approach to continuing medical education, and we therefore have structured our conference to provide this sort of experience.

1. Utilize state-of-the-art research studies to formulate patient management decisions.
2. Describe the pathophysiology underlying human diseases.
3. Discuss differential diagnoses and management options for patients without well-defined modalities in treatment in the literature.
