Overview
The Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Grand Rounds will inform physicians and other health care professionals of advances and their scientific basis across various fields within the specialty. Since many members attending this activity are directly involved in the care of patients, when the patient and their treatment regimens, or new developments in the field are discussed and explored in this setting all feel increase comfort in caring for the patients as the rational is well known and has been discussed among peers and by experts. Competence is caring for our patient population will improve by increasing the awareness of diagnostic and therapeutic options and rational for the treatment of pediatric cancers and blood disorders. This will lead to improvements in performance as measured by treating patients on or according to cooperative group studies and ideally in patient outcomes as reported by the hospital.

Objectives
  1. The Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Grand Rounds will have the main goal of providing an ongoing forum about advances and their scientific basis across various fields within Hematology-Oncology. This monthly series will feature national and regional speakers and hopefully will spark communication and collaboration within scientific and clinical programs.
