1. Discuss aspects of the history of infant nutrition.
2. Describe the anatomy of the human breast.
3. Discuss the physiology of lactation.
4. List some of the components of human breast milk.
5. Describe best practices for enteral feeding of premature infants.
6. Discuss ways to improve oral feeding in premature infants.
7. List various immune aspects of human milk and their benefits for infants.
8. Discuss the impact of Cytomegalovirus on the fetus and infant.
9. Discuss aspects of pharmacologic agents in pregnancy and lactation.
10. Describe efforts by the Alabama Chapter of the AAP to promote breastfeeding.
