Overview
Faculty members are often not properly prepared to assume leadership roles.  They are required to integrate knowledge and skills to successfully advance UAB Medicine's strategic plan to become the Preferred Academic Medical Center of the 21st Century.  The pillars of this strategic plan are built on a foundation of alignment and integration to encourage collaboration, communication and organizational effectiveness.

Objectives
Upon completion of this live activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Integrate knowledge and skills to successfully lead a 21st Century Academic Medical Center
  2. Identify what motivates their individual team members to increase performance and team satisfaction
  3. Restate goals and vision for changes to motivate their teams to improve processes in education and healthcare
