Overview

Allergic disease - asthma, eczema and food allergy has increased significantly over the past couple of decades. Prevalence of food allergy in children has generally doubled.  Clinicians unfamiliarity with finer points of management is problematic.  The therapeutic landscape and best practice for pediatric food allergy has evolved rapidly over the past 5 - 10 years.  This activity will discuss the logistics and specific clinical management of early introduction of foods, IgE and non-IgE mediated reactions and infant anaphylaxis.

 


Objectives
Upon completion of this live activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate how to treat severe, uncontrolled eosinophilic asthma
  2. Develop plans for navigating potential eosinophilic esophagitis patients to diagnosis
  3. Utilize effective strategies for changes in coding and government regulation.
  4. Improve screening strategies to identify potential eosinophilic esophagitis patients
  5. Explain historic implications of consensus guidelines in the management of eosinophilic esophagitis
  6. Critically evaluate the known adverse event profiles of OIT and the clinical and immunological benefits.
